TikTok Cross-Border Selling: One Shopify Store, Every EU Market

TIKTOK SHOP INTEGRATION
By Fatima Zahra · 30th July 2026 · 14 min read

Cross-border shops let you sell on TikTok Shop in countries where you are not physically based, for example running German, French and UK shops from a business in China, the UK or the UAE. With SPL, you sync one Shopify product to several regions at once from Global Products: pick the markets, set a global inventory and base price, choose region-specific pricing, decide whether stock is shared or split per region, complete category and compliance details, then create and publish to each shop. One Shopify listing, many countries.

Cross-border selling is how a single catalogue reaches shoppers across Europe and beyond. The hard part is normally the admin: different currencies, per-country stock, and strict compliance rules. SPL folds all of that into one product sync flow.

This is a long guide because the feature is deep. Take it a step at a time, and by the end you will have one product live across every market you chose.

Not connected yet? Cross-border syncing assumes your TikTok Shops are already linked to Shopify. If you are starting fresh, follow connecting your Shopify products with TikTok Shop using SPL first, then come back here.

What are cross-border shops on TikTok?

Cross-border, or CB, shops let you sell in international markets even when you are not physically based in the target country. A seller in China, the UK or the UAE can run TikTok Shops in Germany, France, Italy, Spain or the UK and ship directly to those customers.

With SPL, you manage all of those international shops through one central Shopify store. A single Shopify product syncs across multiple TikTok regions, while still allowing region-specific pricing, inventory and content. That is the balance cross-border needs: one source of truth, but local flexibility where it counts.

How to add multiple TikTok Shops

On the SPL dashboard:

  • Click the dropdown menu at the top-right of the page, which shows your current connected shop.
  • Select ➕ Add Shop to add another TikTok Shop, such as DE, FR, UK or IT.
  • Authorize each shop connection.

After a successful connection, the CB shop appears in the dropdown list alongside any domestic shops you have already linked. You can connect multiple CB shops, for example EU-CB and US-CB, to the same Shopify store where TikTok has approved them. For the full walkthrough of connecting several shops, see our guide to connecting multiple TikTok Shop stores.

Adding another TikTok Shop via the Add Shop dropdown in SPL

Step 1: Go to Global Products

On the SPL app sidebar, click Global Products. You will see a list of your Shopify products that can be synced to your TikTok Shops. This is the hub for cross-border syncing.

Step 2: Select a product to sync

From the list of available products, click the product you want to publish to multiple TikTok Shops, then click Sync to TikTok Shop.

Step 3: Choose regions

At the top of the Global Products page, select the regions, meaning the TikTok Shops, where you want to publish the product. Tick the boxes for the markets you want, such as:

  • US – United States
  • UK – United Kingdom
  • DE – Germany
  • FR – France
  • IT – Italy and any other TikTok-supported countries enabled in your CB shop.

Only the selected markets receive the listing, so you stay in full control of where each product appears.

Step 4: Set global inventory and price

Here you define the total stock available and the base price for your product, before it is distributed across your TikTok Shops.

  • Global Inventory: the total number of units of the product you are selling across all connected TikTok regions.
  • Base Price: the default product price, typically in your Shopify store's base currency such as USD or EUR, applied unless you override it regionally.

This step tells SPL how many units exist in total, and what the default price should be when syncing to TikTok.

Set local pricing per country

You can manually assign a different price per country, which is the right choice when you need to account for currency, VAT or market-specific promotions.

Country Local price
US $34.99
UK £27.99
DE €31.49

Step 5: Apply regional inventory and pricing

The Apply Inventory button decides how your global stock is used across your different TikTok Shops. When you click it, you get two options.

Option 1

Set global inventory as base

All selected TikTok Shops pull from the same inventory pool. Enter 200 units and each shop sees 200, sharing that pool. A sale in France reduces stock for every region.

Best for centralized warehouses, or fulfilling from a single location.

Option 2

Distribute inventory between regions

Manually assign a specific quantity to each TikTok Shop, for example US 120, UK 90, DE 90. Each region has its own capped allocation.

Best for stock held in multiple locations, or capping sales per region.

Select a Brand. If it is not listed, choose No Brand or submit a request via TikTok Seller Center.

Product attributes

Attributes vary by category and may include color, size, skin type, volume, power output and more. TikTok Shop and Shopify use these to classify your products correctly, meet category requirements, and improve searchability. In SPL you may be asked to fill in or map these attributes during the sync, to meet TikTok's listing standards.

Regulatory compliance labels

This part matters most for cross-border. Depending on your product category and destination country, TikTok may ask you to confirm compliance requirements. Common examples include:

  • CE Mark, for electronics, toys and personal care.
  • RoHS or REACH, for EU environmental compliance.
  • FDA or EMEA, for food, cosmetics and health.
  • Age restrictions and recycling symbols.
Take compliance seriously. It is especially important when shipping to Germany, France or the UK, which enforce stricter compliance on cross-border goods. In SPL you are prompted to confirm these labels during the sync. Confirm only what genuinely applies to your product, and check your obligations with a qualified professional if you are unsure, since compliance is a legal responsibility rather than a formality.

Save your selection as a template

Check the box if you want to save your selection as a template for future use. This is a real time saver across many products in the same category.

You can also assign a custom name to the template, then click Save Template to store it for future use. For more on reusable category setups, see our guide to creating category templates to auto-map products.

Cross-border selling FAQs

What is a cross-border shop on TikTok?

A cross-border, or CB, shop lets you sell to customers in a country where you are not physically based. For example, a seller in China, the UK or the UAE can run TikTok Shops in Germany, France, Italy, Spain or the UK and ship directly to those buyers. With SPL, you manage all of these international shops from one central Shopify store, syncing a single product across regions while keeping region-specific pricing, inventory and content.

Can I set different prices for each country?

Yes. During the sync you can manually assign a local price per country, such as $34.99 for the US, £27.99 for the UK, and €31.49 for Germany. This is the right approach when you need to account for currency differences, VAT, or promotions specific to a market. Without an override, your base price applies.

Should I share one inventory pool or split it between regions?

It depends on how you hold stock. Set Global Inventory as Base makes every shop draw from one shared pool, so a sale in any country reduces stock everywhere, which suits a single central warehouse. Distribute Inventory Between the Regions lets you assign a fixed quantity to each shop, such as US 120, UK 90, DE 90, which suits multiple locations or capping sales per market.

What compliance labels do I need for cross-border products?

It depends on the product and destination. Common ones include the CE Mark for electronics, toys and personal care, RoHS or REACH for EU environmental compliance, and FDA or EMEA for food, cosmetics and health, along with age restrictions and recycling symbols. SPL prompts you to confirm the relevant labels during the sync. Confirm only what genuinely applies, and check with a qualified professional if you are unsure, since compliance is a legal responsibility.

Why is my product saved as a draft instead of going live?

That is by design. When you click Create Products on TikTok, SPL saves the product as a draft so you can review it before it is public. To make it live, use the top-right shop selector to choose one region at a time, open the product in that region, review it, and click Publish. Repeat for each TikTok Shop you are selling in.

Do I have to publish to each region separately?

Yes. You create the product across all selected regions in one flow, but publishing is done per region so you can review each listing first. Switch region with the shop selector, review, and publish, one market at a time. After that, ongoing edits in Shopify auto-sync to every connected market without republishing.

Can I reuse my category and compliance setup for other products?

Yes. During the compliance step you can save your selection as a named template, then reuse it for future products in the same category. This saves repeating the category, attribute and compliance choices each time, which adds up quickly when you are listing many similar products across several markets.
